This looks rather fine.  Out in September:

That does look quite appealing. Must remember it come September

Ditto. Plainsong were massively under-rated and all too short-lived IMHO.

Plainsong doing Farina is awesome enough on its own, but I'm really excited to see that one of the songs is previously unrecorded! Excellent news.

So much for farewell tours (which they did in 2012).

Very interesting.  Andy Roberts has added a few words in the American press release - http://omnivorerecordings.com/press-release-plainsong-reinventing-richard-the-songs-of-richard-farina/

It would be lovely to think of Plainsong getting back together to promote the album, but I don’t suppose they will.  Or maybe they are waiting for the actual anniversary of Farina’s death next year…?

Hmmm....Andy, Mark & Clive were all down to be playing the INN-Ovation festival as 3Boxes at the end of this month. Julian Dawson was also on the bill.

Unfortunately, it's been cancelled owing to lack of ticket sales (read: lack of national advertising, it looked like a local affair for local fundraising), which is a real shame! I was going & had accomodation booked, but thankfully cancellable.

I reckon we could have had a run through

It has taken a while, but it seems they are getting together again for a few dates to promote the album.  Not sure how complete the list is (they are booked to play the Half Moon on July 6th).  Has anyone heard the album?

Looking at the Dutch gig on March 31st, it's just Andy Roberts & Iain, going out under the Plainsong name.

They're coming to the USA but not within 600 miles of me, yet.  Keeping my eyes open for a Texas gig...
