The Pretty Things in 1998, 30 years after the original release of SF Sorrow.  A fine performance.

Laudable (but rubbish) imho...(unlike the coffee which is just rubbish).

His lyrics sound like he's reading from a political protester's speech.  As you say, the sentiments are fine, but make for a clunky song.  Make a ******* effort, Neil!  *sigh*

The music's funky enough.  But, yeah, it's all a bit meh.

The music's clunky enough...the lyrics are just trite.  I'm starting to give up on him tbh.

Only starting?!   Shocked   Roll Eyes

Neil's so out of touch with the muse that he'd have to work very hard to find her again.  Or, better yet, let somebody else push him and tell him when he's ****, like David Briggs used to do.

We were talking about The Byrds over on the Listening thread, yesterday I think, so I thought that one or two of you might be interested.

It was just put up in the last week or so. I had seen him mention it on his FB page. Really must see him one of these days solo.

Not really a music vid but still...this is Adam Scovell's film adaptation of the Holloway book by Robert Macfarlane, Stanley Donwood and Dan Richards with a soundtrack by Richard Skelton.

Well worth 8 and a half minutes of your time (I think)...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxpmPzyxBN4

ps if you don't know Skelton, drop me a line...I think he's the hound's gonads.
