I've not seen this before, but Maart has posted this on Fakebutt

Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young and Jones.

I've seen it.  It's odd.  Neil Young wouldn't do Johnny Carson with the Springfield, but he'd do this?   Huh

Jules

It's odd but it's not unusual

Wow. Tom had - and indeed still has - a great voice.

My parents had a live Tom album - Live At The Flamingo in Las Vegas - and I loved it. I've since bought my own copy, (two in fact!) and it's still a great listen. Jones The Voice is right.

There's a bluesy arrangement of Danny Boy on it which is great, and a whole bunch of other soulfully sung belters. A great album.

P.S I just looked to see if it was ever released on CD......I nearly choked !

I just looked on Wiki, the Telecaster that Stuart is playing was the original prototype string bender that Clarence White and Gene Parsons built. Stuart bought it off White's widow apparently.

Yes, he treasures that guitar.  And, more importantly, plays it!

Very nice. Did you ever hear the version by Neil of  Young Ones fame? I can't find it, but that's perhaps just as well.  Wink

I think that counts as 'positively hysterical' in Fripp terms, doesn't it?

Having watched it through again, I'm not sure I  am too keen on the visuals, but its all about the music really!

Yeah, that was my thinking as well (and several comments seem to agree).  They look almost like some of those TOTP visuals with Legs & Co in the 70's.  'Cheesy' was my first thought.  Rather unnecessary... it's the music I'm really interested in so I'll save some money and get the Blue Ray version even though I don't have a blu ray player yet!

Has anyone not seen this version of 'John Barleycorn' by Steve Winwood. ?

I think it's beautiful.
