Yep, but thanks for reminding me about it. I wish he spent considerably more time in this kind of musical mood.

This takes me right back to hearing the Traffic album version for the first time when I really didn't know what folk music was. Always thought it was the stand out track on the album. This is a lovely version, really suits his voice.

This is a lovely version, really suits his voice. I don't know the exact year of the clip (it's from a BBC special, apparently) but I'm struck by how undamaged his voice is. It sounds as good as it does on the album version, which was what 1971 (?)

Eighteenth Day of May with a cover of Buffy Sainte-Marie's Cod'ine, a live regular in the 18th Day set back in the day. A one-off reunion (minus Allison Brice who these days lives in NYC) at Richard Olson's birthday bash at Walthamstow Tennis Club last month. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3j5XrM3igIo

People have probably seen this, but I just heard it, though not the song for the first time. I'm always amazed by the clarity and control of Linda's voice at that time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqViJyweNV0&feature=youtu.beAnd I for one am glad she's not wearing a burka.
