Listening to some RW albums at the moment, and this cover of a certain folk song (a live version here) made me think of the TAW crowd. So, d'you like it or does it make you cringe?? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mu1Hkhdcv2g

I like it too, because it's Robin W, though it's rather long. The album it's on - Just Like the River - -Songs for Guitar (2009) is a very loose, relaxed a ffair. The vocals are very much of the moment, and some of the guitar arrangements are sparse. But it has a great feel to it, and is an interesting selection of songs. The version of 'Wild Horses' (The Stones) is very nice.

Apologies if anyone's seen this before (or is afraid of clowns!) Weird but strangely compelling https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bfPwtUTP4k

I saw Richard Dawson live, supporting someone, a while ago, and it was an extraordinary experience.

Being a Wire reader I knew what to expect, but there were many around that didn't. A lot still thought (think) he was a comedy act, mind. I think this latest stuff is genuine top dollar material.

Trembling Bells And Mike Heron - following a quick google search. His music isn't something I'd listen to on record, but it came across well live. The delivery was something of the nature of the late Kevin Coyne.

Didn't manage to capture Marion & PJ's fab rendering of "WKWTTG", but here's Fleetwood Cave at the BBC Music Day event at Byfield Village Hall. "Wizard of the Worldly Game /Lazarus". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zoP6rpbhsQ

For the very simple reason that a friend posted it on his timeline saying he was learning to play it. Been decades since I listened to it. Great stuff. Budgie - Breadfan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54H3EUAzpVg&feature=share

One of the first bands I saw live (Guildford Civic Hall, early 80s). They must have been supporting someone like Gillan, or maybe Wishbone Ash? Don't think I've ever actually heard anything by them on record.

For a while, a singer/songwriter called Steve Hammond was in Fat Mattress with whom the band I played in from 1963-1965 recorded demos of 3 or 4 songs he wrote. I remember that my parents were not happy that I was going to rehearsals when I should have been studying for A levels!!
