I'm having a bit of a Hawkwind blitz at the moment.  I just adore this.  So glad I got to see Huw in his prime... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnRqDsIngBo

The rule is, if you are posting links you have to say what you are linking to.
Links removed.

Seeing as I've been asked, the exact rule (and there are not many), from 'About This Board'

Links
With the link there must be some explanation of what you are being directed to and why you would want to go there.
For example it's not enough to post in Announce "Have a look at my web site here". The post should explain who you are and why it's relevant.
Also the link must not be an affiliate, go to a PPC page, generate popups, or anything similar.
And please don't use anonymous redirecting services. People like to know what they are clicking on.

I didn't know about that rule but, wrist suitably slapped, I repeat, I haven't seen these before:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aB0sZYc-Sk8

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxExYZfbKAM

They are both films of Fairport in Norway in 1976. I did a quick search and couldn't find any previous reference to them on here but, in my innocent haste to share what I thought people on this site might enjoy and with other, more pressing demands on my time, I daresay I was looking in the wrong places and you've all seen them loads of times before.

I'm fairly certain each and every one of us has wondered what the Ramones sound like played on the dulcimer.  No?  Pah...

Well I have, of course, David.

Of greater interest up me though was the video below it on YouTube - Kenny Everett’s 1979 NY show (just the end of it) with the Sex Pistols and Thin Lizzie. How I long for those innocent days.

Great name.  She sounds a bit like the Royal Trux lady (whose name escapes me...Jennifer?)?

No links (sorry!) but I just watched new Youtube clips of:

Eric Clapton and Roger Waters performing "Sunshine of Your Love" at the Ginger Baker tribute show, and

Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones performing "Stay With Me" at the Brits.

Nice little walk down memory lane, even though Rod was "talk singing" like Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady.

Anyone know anything about this lot - Brutus - "War"?  Bloody good, I thought...not really my thing but I'm loving this shaking out a few cobwebs as I prepare for a week off.  Got to love a drumming singer...particularly when they look(sorry)/sound/drum/sing like this one.

I like that. Starts of sounding like The Sundays a bit. Then kicks you in the crotch..so to speak.
P.S That's the first time I've seen the phrase 'drumming singer' rather than 'singing drummer'...but it's more accurate in this case for sure.

I've not heard of them before, but there's a couple of albums out, from 2017 and 2019, plus singles and E.P's (See Discogs). The first album is on youtube.

Her name is Stefanie Mannaerts.

I thing civilisation may have reached a new high - this might just be my favourite remix ever.  Love the original, love the remix, love the crazy vid.  Perfect.

Very sad to hear that Julie Felix has left us.

Here's her lovely take on Peter Knight's "From A Lullaby Kiss", with PK accompanying.
