To mark St. Patrick’s Day…
How about this sparkling, impromptu version of ‘Galway Girl’ by Daoiri Farrell and a few chums

I know... Once seen, never forgotten!  Apparently there's a whole album of his interpretations of heavy rock songs out there if you want some more!

Check Out the album: In A Metal Mood -No More Mr Nice Guy

Track list (I'm sure you'll know all the original bands but I've listed them just in case you missed the odd one):

1. You've Got Another Thing Coming (Judas Priest}
2. Smoke On The Water (Deep Purple)
3. It's A Long Way To The Top (AC/DC)
4. Panama (Van Halen)
5. No More Mr Nice Guy (Alice Cooper)
6. Love Hurts (Nazareth via The Everleys)
7. Enter Sandman ( Metallica)
8. Holy Diver (Dio)
9. Paradise City (Guns 'n' Roses)
10. The Wind Cries Mary (Jimi}
11. Crazy Train (Ozzy)
12. Stairway To Heaven (Of course!)

It's a bonkers listen but it's  good fun.  Smiley

It was my first ever purchase from Amazon. I didn't desperately want to help pay for Jeff Bezos' Malibu beach house but I was so intrigued, I just had to have a copy. It's not the most regular visitor to my CD player but it never fails to raise a smile when it does get an airing.  Smiley

Well that was er interesting! I looked up some info about the album and it's Richie Blackmore playing the guitar solo on 'Smoke on the water', whilst Ronnie James Dio sings backing vocals on 'Holy diver'.

I didn't know until today that Black Velvet was Elvis' preferred hair dye brand.

Alannah Myles' greatest song.
