https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGGzS39QLks&t=187sSilent, but excellent footage of Zeppelin, Dallas 1977. There's no actual audio from that night, but I'm sure someone will sync up something. I though I was smart for working out what the song in the beginning was, but some smartass has worked out all the songs : 0:00 The Song Remains the Same 1:44 Sick Again 3:21 Nobody's Fault But Mine 3:45 In My Time of Dying 4:14 Since I've Been Loving You 5:20 Ten Years Gone 5:35 Battle of Evermore 6:20 Going to California 6:35 Over the Top Smartass spotted.... https://youtu.be/ZzkN_usTyaQAudio matched from Oklahoma City and Chicago. That takes some dedication and uber nerdness.

Robert Plant and some other guys do a song Robert doesn't do usually https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhXxMxyaI4sa charity event in Oxfordshire, England, on Saturday. Duran Duran's Andy Taylor, who has stage 4 colon cancer, organised the event.

Recognised Guy Pratt - who's the other guitarist? Drummer?

The guitarist was Kenwyn House.
No, I've never heard of him, either. Ex-Reef, apparently.

It's clearly sung in a different key to the original, and think for a moment about the setting, the rehearsal time blah blah blah. When I've seen him with Saving Grace recently I've often thought to myself...I'm so glad he's just being himself and not pretending to be something he no longer is like so many of the fading rock Gods. I know which I'd rather listen to...

I have no idea. I'd not heard anything by them so I didn't have a clue what was in the set. But I bought the Rising album on the strength of it, which was the current release. It's pretty good if you like that sort of thing.

When Wendy and I were first married in '77, we lived not too far from The Winning Post in Whitton. (If you ever saw the Kenneth More film "Genevieve" about the London to Brighton vintage car race - sort of - it was supposedly a pub near Brighton, which was far from geographical accuracy.) We saw several great acts there over the years, but this guy blew us away. Sitting on his own, surrounded by pedals, tape machines and his various guitars, he played all the tracks from his then recently released "One World" album. This title track was simply immense, that night. For all his faults, an amazing musician. Should you want to know more about him, I thoroughly recommend Graeme Thomson's book "Small Hours - The Long Night of John Martyn" One World

When I first started watching him 6 years later it was 1000 seat venues, which were mostly full.

The Winning Post Hall held about 3-500 then, but wasn't packed out.
We saw him in several venues of about that size around that time.
His fame shot up when he did "One World" on OGWT.
(We also saw Free and Hawkwind in the same venue.)
