New "Word In Your Ear" interview with Hugh Cornwell (formerly of The Stranglers), in which he talks of going to see early gigs with school mate Richard Thompson, and the recent recording of a charity track with RT and the Fairport rhythm section... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JtmKhjH2KU&t=441s

One of the best versions of The Boys are Back in Town I've ever heard. Midge Ure (obviously a bit part Thin Lizzy member himself)... he's even got the voice spot on. Very impressive (I thought) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_MDL7q2Jgg

Sorry, but I thought that was awful. Part hagiography, part unwarranted psychobabble....there's far too much of this nonsense about. Fwiw, I'd strongly advise people to read Morton Jack's book, instead...

Big Roy fan, but he was certainly getting on. This lineup is, despite the break with the past of recent years, the best they've sounded for decades, possibly since the early Legacy lineups with Hugh.

I have recently discovered this folk group, from the USA, called Windborne. They have beautiful close harmonies and sing songs from all over the world. This one (Song of the Lower Classes) is a good example of their work. They are over here in the new year and I've already got my ticket to see them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12HwvPpWUx0 The second clip is a short video of the same song being sung outside a certain building in New York! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aE3s2IwgcAE

More AI shenanigans; Computer generated timey wimey oddness. What if Led Zeppelin was a 50's band ? How far through can you listen to Led Zeppelin II circa 1956 ? Pat Boone shrugs off his sanitized Little Richard role to sing The Lemon Song ? Sandy Nelson plays Moby Dick...or is it Gene Krupa ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5_9fYU8jd4
