Does anyone know please if this superb album has ever been released in a Remastered form on CD? I have the 2001 'Collectors Choice' version which is Ok, and I see there is a new CD release on the Flawed Gems label with 11 bonus tracks. There does seem to be some criticism of the Flawed Gems label. Can anyone shed more light please ? (or perhaps I should never have let the vinyl album go years ago!). Thanks.

Collector's Choice do tend to be at bit iffy when it comes to sound quality, it must be said. I did some research, and it appears that the only subsequent CD version is Japanese, from 2013:- https://www.discogs.com/Eclection-Eclection/release/5343628http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eclection/dp/B00DP4M6SW?ie=UTF8&keywords=eclection&qid=1460838908&ref_=sr_1_1&s=music&sr=1-1There's also a version from 2011, issued in Sweden, which Discogs claims is unofficial, though this contains 11 bonus tracks: https://www.discogs.com/Eclection-Eclection/release/3270212http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eclection/dp/B006ASF1JQ?ie=UTF8&keywords=eclection&qid=1460838908&ref_=sr_1_4&s=music&sr=1-4Either way, you're looking at a minimum outlay of about 15 squid, including p+p. Hope that helps, Jules

Many thanks, the Japanese edition appears to be a Rhino release, so I think that should be good. The bonus track one is the Flawed Gems version which Google suggests ain't good! Cheers!

Update: I've now seen the reviews of the Japanese (Rhino) 2013 CD and it seems this is only marginally better sound quality than the 2001 Collectors Choice CD. Not much point in buying then. Maybe some clever record company person will think of remastering it and giving it a quality release on CD, or perhaps i just ought to go and find a decent vinyl original! Ho hum.

I have the original vinyl but it is probably my most played album ever. I used to get home from school and put it on repeat.

I have the Collectors, Choice CD and think it sounds pretty average- -I once read it may be a needle drop. However, every other CC CD I'v e had has sounded good.

Good. I have the Colllector's Choice edition. Very old by now and rumoured to be a needle drop. TBH I'v e never been desperately keen on the album, but it''s okay and can go on the back end of my list.
