I had the pleasure of seeing this power trio perform at the old JB's ages ago - sometime in the late '70s?

Did they ever release any recordings from this era?

One (or two?) live track(s) turned up on the Fairport Unconventional box.  Can't think of any other releases.

Didn't see that trio but saw another one - Nicol, Mattacks & Whetstone, at the Sunnyside in Northampton in 1989. Do any recordings of that trio exist?

Never even knew that trio existed.  Wouldn't mind a listen myself if any did.


i think i might have a wax cylinder of that particular trio, but i just cant find the damned thing!

Yes indeed, they did a session for Folk on 2 which I have on one of my hard discs somewhere.

Yes indeed, they did a session for Folk on 2 which I have on one of my hard discs somewhere.
