Just seen this on FB from Kristina Daly (Nee Donahue)

"My dad had a stroke on Friday and is in the hospital. Unfortunately, they missed the three hour window to treat and, due to the location of the blockage, it was too risky to perform surgery. So, they're holding him for now.

I flew out to LA to be with him and, though he is unable to speak, he did recognize me. He's very frustrated, as you can imagine, but we're trying to stay positive.

So thankful to Susan Rey & Frank Badami who saved my dad's life.

More news and information to come. Please keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you and love to you all.

Kristina x"

Wishing him well, sending love & good vibes to him & his family.

Actually shocked.

I was thinking how well time was not wearing on him at the New Forest festival. He was in great form there.

This from Susan Rey's Facebook:

""As alot of you have heard by now. One of my dearest and closest friends Jerry Donahue suffered a stroke on friday. He will need a lot of rehabilitation, love and support. Please if you make comments, only give healing and positive ones to support our dear friend.
Kristina Daly, Frank Badami, my hubby Peter Bellas and myself are caring for him 24 hours a day. He is in good hands. as far as visiting Jerry. It will be a long haul for him and he wishes that you respect his privacy except for a few of his very long time friends. if you would like to send him cards and love, please send them to me in care of Jerry Donahue and I will take them to him.

Susan Rey Bellas

I will keep you all updated as he gets stronger!""

And an update via Jane Merrick on Facebook
"Jane thank you for your patience
Jerry is fighting very hard for his life...he does recognize us and smiles to acknowledge he starting singing little notes and he is continuing to sing which is great healing for him...We have music playing which seems to keep him calm...we will have another scan today to tell us more.
You can post my update and the first one to let everyone he is fighting very hard....keep your prayers coming"
