Not sure this has been posted here before, but this link goes to Sweet Relief, which is raising tax deductible donations for Jerry:

Is this December Jerry Aid a certain thing? I saw it on Facebook weeks ago and then never could find anything else about it. Until now.
Thinking about going. I assume tickets being available via the Fairport site means it's on?

A recent update from Kristina Donahue Daly:

Quote
Dad is okay. He's not great... still can't speak. It's unlikely he'll regain speech, as that part of the brain suffered much damage from the hemorrhaging. He also still has a lot of muscle atrophy on the right side (right hand and leg), so playing is challenging without the help of friends to strum for him. He uses a walker with the therapists daily, but hasn't shown a ton of improvement. It's only been a year, though, and they say a lot can happen in the 2nd year. So, that's what we're hoping for.

That is, literally, amazing and heartbreaking, all at the same time.  Love to Jerry and his folks.

Oh, that's hard to read.  Cry
It was clearly a massive stroke, affecting many areas. I don't want to put a downer on it, but it is such a shame that he has made so little progress/has had limited spontaneous recovery. It's a long haul thereafter.
I hope he is content within himself.

I just hope Jerry recovers enough to have a decent quality of life for what time he has left.

i can't imagine there is anyone who knows Jerry who doesn't wish him well - a wonderful musician, an important part of Fairport's history & an all round good guy - I have been fortunate enough to meet Jerry a few times, albeit briefly at Cropredy & Half Moon for chat & autograph & he was always giving of his time & memories - I know lots of other fans who can say the same of him - it will be a long haul & along with a lot of other people I send love, best wishes & hope for the future to Jerry & his family.

A further note - we will be selling Jerry Donahue T-shirts at the Festival Merchandise Emporium over the Cropredy weekend with ALL money going to Jerry's Sweet Relief page. The Festival will pay for the manufacture and cover the dreaded VAT so every penny you spend will go straight to Jerry.
Bring one less T-shirt folks - you won't need it!
