I like researching the line-up for Cropredy - it's my second favourite pre-Cropredy activity (the favourite being testing which ales to take along  ) I've not heard of this bunch so I thought I'd check out their website. From the e-festivals e-newsletter....they seem to know more than the FC mailer told us? There will be two chances to see Fairport Convention co-founder Richard Thompson. He will play a full set in his own right on Friday then join Fairport on Saturday evening.
Saturday's afternoon programme will start with a triple bill of performances from 'early years' former members of Fairport – Ashley Hutchings Morris On, Judy Dyble with Band of Perfect Strangers, and Iain Matthews with Plainsong - as part of the anniversary celebration. So that's Digance's slot filled if we believe what they say. |

Maart on Facebook, October 8th, buried in a thread about it being 41 years since he first encountered the Rising For The Moon lineup at Leeds University : "And fancy that ! Peggy just called me to invite me to play Cropredy next year :-)" So yes, I'm sure if he's been invited, there will be some Maart activity. I knew I'd seen something |
