The quote itself is pretty standard, but it did seem like Peggy was holding back something big and maybe a surprise based on the sound of his voice. Purely a guess on my part though.

I'm thinking the Ian Campbell discussion was because Peggy was being interviewed by BBC Scotland and might have been of interest to people who may not have known he had briefly played with them rather than a lineup hint.
