Kitchen Cupboard Find

We are about to have a new kitchen fitted and of course the preparation for this involves emptying out all the old cupboards. Well right at the back of that deepest, darkest, corner cupboard where things like juicers, bread makers and pasta makers go to be forgotten about I came across this long forgotten purchase from my first Cropredy in 1987.
I don't expect there are too many of these still around like this in their unopened state?
I have an idea that I may just take it along to this year's 50th anniversary and have a ceremonial opening. (It will I am sure be undrinkable) Either that or it will get put in the back of one of the new kitchen cupboards and spend another 30 years there!

Hmmm. I'd keep it and not open it. Ever. It definitely won't be drinkable (was it ever?) and it will be worth more unopened. Maybe!

It was drinkable the year after... well, my bottle was!
Sadly, the empty bottle got broken during one of my house moves a few years later.

£50!! Blimey. Mine's far better than that one. I might put it up for sale for £100. You never know someone might be mad enough to buy it? And the proceeds could go towards this new kitchen which is costing me a small fortune.

A few years ago I was given a bottle of beer that was about a decade and a half past the sell by date. I drank it and about half an hour later fell into a really deep sleep, woke up in the wee small hours, staggered up to bed, and slept for several more. And I'm a bit of an insomniac who doesn't sleep well, and alcohol makes it worse. It was great, no hangover or anything.
