I lOVE JUST ABOUT EVERY SONG ALREADY NOMINATED.
Sir Patrick being a big favourite, but for me its;
Bank of the sweet Primroses with Swarb singing.

And I in turn agree with your opening statement and also love the two songs you mentioned. Jules

Far too many good ones to choose from. I'd happily vote for any and all nominated so far. But , because it fits with the mood I'm in at the moment I'm going with Genesis Hall

Jules they fit more plodding into those 2 minutes than the whole of the Genesis back catalogue* * This might not be strictly true

It is a much beloved cornerstone of the Fairport catalogue and a song of such lightness of touch that it floats on gossamer wings, passing briefly but enthrallingly like an iridescent damsel fly on a summer's day.

Yay I'm far too much of a coward lady to type what I want to in response! I'm happy to be alone in this case. I see no point in saying I like it if I don't, however, I have just spent 30 minutes listening to various versions to make sure I'm not missing something vital. And IMHO I'm not. Funny, though, as I love Sloth!

Love it! (Although I did first read it as "indecent mayfly")
