I'm listening to the Iain Matthews set atm.  Very good, and you wouldn't guess some of that live material is from 50+ years ago.  It's cleaned up nicely!

I shall have to pick up the Iain Matthews and the Plainsong sets at some point. For my mega box set Christmas gift to myself I have been eyeing a 20 disc Memphis Blues set  from Bear Family for the past year. The price has dropped so here’s hoping!

Meant to ask regarding the Iain Matthews set…are these recreated sleeves in a slightly larger than CD style box? Any sort of book or extras included?

Yes, they are card sleeves in a box.  There are lots of music extras included (live tracks, radio sessions...), and a booklet with information about the albums and their context.  Very similar to the Rockburgh Years box released a few years ago.

Thanks for confirming Will. I’ve seen the tracklist but it wasn’t entirely clear to me what format the ‘box’ itself was, and just curious. Definitely have to consider the Iain sets now for the near future!

The Gong Appreciation Society GAS have got a new Bandcamp page...with lots of interesting things to listen to/purchase.  I believe it will, in time have some physical products as well as the downloads.

Supertramp :  Paris.

The new vinyl edition runs to 3 records so there's extra material.

Just to be clear, this isn't actually a reissue of Paris. It is the soundtrack to the Live In Paris DVD/CD that was issued some years back, the key difference being that this is a single, complete show recorded in one evening whereas the Paris album was compiled from a number of different shows. So, some of the performances on this new/re-issue are not the same as those on the Paris album.
