Great stuff! Must be the highest number of hit singles played at Cropredy by people involved in the making of said songs. Loved Russ Ballard guest spot (since you've been gone - classic rock!). Trevor Horn looks like he's having a good time as well. Fantastic not-really-a-covers-band band.

Trevor Horn doing what he's really good at in bringing new talent on. Loved Jamie Squire's voice!

I know he wrote them, but this was still no morw than a covers band and I'm afraid I don't like most of the songs he wrote. Musically very good, but not for me.

Yep, and bringing on Russ Ballard was genius.

Excellent! If they'd headlined it would have ended Day 1 on a real high note.

I really didn't know what to expect, but I was impressed. Russ Ballard fab, as was the X Factor bloke. I think they would have been a better Thursday headline than The Divine Comedy.

I must have been asleep during his heyday - but loved all the songs which I didn't know he (and Lol) had been associated with. The crowd belting out "God Gave Rock and Roll to you" was fantastic.

He is no more a covers band than FC. He wrote and played on nearly everything he played on Thursday, that makes it legit in my book. Awesome set, especially Russ Ballard and felt sorry for Divine Comedy following on when the field was full of everyone singing God Gave Rock n Roll to you.

Personally, I think they've missed a trick by not calling themselves 'Creme Horn'. Anyway, when they played 'Relax', I was reminded of Mike Read's appearance on the same stage 28 years ago. Funny old world...

The highlight of the festival for me. I was down the front for the whole set. They should have headlined rather than the somewhat dreary Divine Comedy. When Trevor Horn said to the rest of the band "we're running late, we're going to have to cut a number". I thought "Oh no, not Owner of a Lonely Heart". Phew it wasn't. They played it perfectly.

I was hoping they would do "Into the Lens" from his Yes (and Buggles) days! Oh well, all in all it was an enjoyable and eclectic set, ranging from tATu to Argent.

I saw them at last year's Wickham festival so pretty much knew what to expect and was fairly certain they would go down well at Cropredy. The one thing which made this even better than at Wickham was the appearance of Russ Ballard, thought he was excellent and would like to have heard more from him.

In what way does Lol Creme singing 10CC songs constitute "a covers band"?

Obviously to some this band were Marmite-like, but Wendy and I enjoyed them immensely.
Their setlist:
Two Tribes Video Killed the Radio Star All the Things She Said Rubber Bullets Cry Since You Been Gone God Gave Rock 'n' Roll to You Slave to the Rhythm Living in the Plastic Age I'm Not in Love Kiss from a Rose The Power of Love Owner of a Lonely Heart Relax
Yes, this was a covers band, but it was their own material and they were superb.
