How are you combatting the PCBs?
I always find it's a good week to do DIY whilst having music from Cropredy belting out, as I am doing now oiling worktops and doing other jobs between coats. Lifted up by the joy of Cropredy and riding on the crest of it rather than getting the blues.
Of course, with the kitchen out of action, eating out is strictly necessary, too!

We got through yesterday but I'm wiped out today. Just going through photos of the Handfasting on Saturday. Main Cropredy pix will have to wait.

post festival blues............it's a bummer. i've had it most mondays since about April, it never gets any nicer but i do find a treat of a takeaway meal helps a bit. a soak in the bath. nice clean bed linen and pjs. i always leave the house clean and tidy because there's nothing worse than walking in tired, hungry, dirty etc to a mess. and if you have someone else to do the washing, that helps too!!!
and start planning for the next one :-)

By doing the same as Jenny!! Reading everything I can, looking at all the pics posted and reminding myself of what I have just seen live! I really should unpack my cases, but just seeing them sitting here means Cropredy isn't really over, even though I've been up since 3.30 this morning.
An aside: Good luck PaulT in Canada.

By getting ready (in between times at work) to go to Beautiful Days. Snap. Currently having a break from sorting the van out. Wagons roll first light tomorrow (assuming visitors from the east don't leave us too hungover...) Cheers Nick

Back in the day, mid 90's , early 00's , Sheena and I found we always had a come down from the fest and would take a couple of days off work after it. We stayed on Sun for the cricket and found b n b's in the Cropredy area using 'Staying off the beaten track' and stayed in some lovely places with lovely people, several of whom had been to the fest! Friends would rush home on the Sunday as they needed vegetables! Since having the van ,2011, and semi retiring that yr, getting home can take longer! The three years I played with Red Shoes at the Brase on the Sunday was just a very lovely way to lose those post fest blues. Followed by a walk round the village and down the canal on Monday morning as the village put itself back to sleep! We live an hour ish away so we make non fest visits to Cropredy. Several artists open their studios/ houses , in Cropredy, during Oxfordshire's Open Studios art week .You can't beat a quiet pint on the gravestones when no one else is there! My mate's ashes are on the festival field so we have been known to just go and lean on the gate and have a think!
