This Thursday is a special day.

It will be exactly halfway between last years Cropredy and next years one.

It might be a good day for the announcement.

Just about every other festival has published its full line up. Purbeck announcing Richard Thompson yesterday.

Cropredy; well it's the sound of silence, and its not very Golden.

Are we experiencing one of those annoyingly planned pauses, like on reality TV, or is there a real problem? I'm beginning to wonder.

I will be there whatever happens and the line up at the Brasenose is a festival in itself, but ....................

I doubt if there's anything sinister going on - they're probably still negotiating "The Big Star", but they usually tell us a few more at this stage  Undecided

Have to confess, the enforced waiting is very annoying, they must have at least 2 or 3 names they could tease us with.
I made the decision after last year's Big One that I would give the fringe a go on its own this year. OK, so I may miss one big name, but by and large the Brasenose has pulled out all the stops for this year. Well done them!

Having visited the brase earlier I understand that it’s just a matter of a contract waiting to be signed...
I won’t mention anything as I don’t want to betray a confidence but if they get this band signed up I’d guess the mcbastards would be happy......

Skids aren't headline material, surely...they're playing round the corner from me in June, mind and I do have a ticket?!  It won't be Runrig.  I suspect Simple Minds or Deacon Blue is a pretty good call....

Yeah you’re probably right but it’s a very long time since I’ve seen either Simple Minds or Deacon Blue so wouldn’t mind either...still we could all be wrong. Let’s hope the speculation/frustration ends very soon
