As half of the Skids are also in Big Country it is more likely to be Big Country, as they are playing the Rewind festival in Cheshire on the 4th of August and Skids play Rewind in Scotland on the 21st of July and then are on a break until December. Big Country also have further dates after Cropredy.

They have both played on the same bill but that tends to be to a hometown crowd in Scotland. But both on the bill would surely please the McBastards. I would be delighted if that was the case.

Is that reason why it won't be Big Country or a reason why it could be?

Don’t laugh! Lulu could be a good shout following on from Peculiar Clark last year....maybe the start of a new Cropredy tradition - a legends type spot like at Glastonbury  Embarrassed

She's played already with Jools a few years ago. Mind you as this year seems to be "welcome back" it could well be.

The reformed Del Amitri are ending a big tour at Barrowlands the week before Cropredy.

Timing is everything and that makes them odds on favourites.

I would be happy, Nothing ever happens, great song.

Lulu was interviewed by Whispering Bob and clearly had no idea what county she was in, let alone what festival, nor did she care.

They would be a wonderful choice.

I think this is probably it.  Good call.

I like Del Amitri a lot, but, ultimately, I think Justin creates better music as a solo artist than within the band, although I recognise he can't play the SSE Hydro on his own (sadly).  I suspect there may be at least one other person on here that agrees with this statement, but I could be wrong.

A decent mid bill band but surely not a headliner.

If they can sell out the Hydro (and they can), they're a headliner.

Interesting comment from Peggy last night saying that before they can announce the acts, they need to have signed contracts returned Roll Eyes. Be patient, was his comment...sounding frustrated
