I've had this hunch since we saw them in December that the Thursday headliner is Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, I've now convinced myself that this is the case. My 'logic' is as follows.
They would've played last year, but it wouldn't have been right to detract from Fairport's 50th.
There is a connection to Cropredy as we know.
They are headlining Bearded Theory (going to that and very happy they are)
BT must have pushed he boat out to get them, so I think they've got a clause that prevents an announcement.
This week BT announce 'almost sold out'
The day after Cropredy announce 'WoW - very soon'
When you eliminate the impossible and all that.....
But given the number of times he had guested or played is it really a WOW, something really surprising? |

Gawsworth Hall on the Wednesday before - contracted not to announce another in same week within xx miles until sales there are well underway - just on sale - meaning announcement mid to late April. I know....but a man *can* change his mind & the electric line-up haven't been to Cropredy for a long while. Well, I mentioned a few days ago that he’s been doing solo gigs of late. I wouldn’t think it’s all that likely, but at the same time wouldn’t think it impossible either. He’s releasing a new album too. |
