I remember how I felt, seeing Peter Green on a stage with The Splinter Group in 1997 (or thereabouts) in Woking. Broken but...worth seeing.

Although it's often stated Peter Green hadn't been on stage since the 70's he actually had (with Pete Bardens in the early-mid 1980's - I saw them at a pub in Midhurst.  It was horrifying).  Same with Lee...he'd been playing fairly (ir)regularly in the US.  Pre-internet though, we simply didn't know about it.

Lee? who or which Lee? Albert , Alvin, Arthur?

Thanks Andy.

Well that was hugely better than older clips I've seen, so maybe it will be something special.

Peter Sand-Lee, I presume. Welcome Home was one of his hits.

In recent years, Cropredy has consisted of 20 acts if you include Fairport Acoustic and the full Fairport line up which traditionally headline Saturday night as 2 separate acts. This year we have 21 acts - is this a record?

No, you've got me there.
The only welcome home I can think of was Peters and Lee. Was it them?

Roughly 10 posts back, David was talking about Arthur Lee’s erratic performances in the US in the 80’s and 90’s.

If you follow the thread, it makes sense.  If you don't, it won't.  I wouldn't stress yourself.

There's not much likely to be going on for a while now, so the topic can drift a bit.

Manx harpist Mera Royle completes the bill as BBC YFAW.

Great that another woman will be playing but a harpist at Cropredy may struggle but good luck to her.

Yeah I thought the same when Brighde Chaimbeul won in 2016 with her pipes and not sure whether she was able to show her full potential in front of 20000 people at Cropredy...think I was proved right imo
