I remember how I felt, seeing Peter Green on a stage with The Splinter Group in 1997 (or thereabouts) in Woking. Broken but...worth seeing.
Although it's often stated Peter Green hadn't been on stage since the 70's he actually had (with Pete Bardens in the early-mid 1980's - I saw them at a pub in Midhurst. It was horrifying). Same with Lee...he'd been playing fairly (ir)regularly in the US. Pre-internet though, we simply didn't know about it. Lee? who or which Lee? Albert , Alvin, Arthur? |

In recent years, Cropredy has consisted of 20 acts if you include Fairport Acoustic and the full Fairport line up which traditionally headline Saturday night as 2 separate acts. This year we have 21 acts - is this a record?

Arthur Lee died a few years back didn't he? Yup. He went through a bad time mid period , including prison, but when he came back with Baby Lemonade he was fabulous . |

Yeah I thought the same when Brighde Chaimbeul won in 2016 with her pipes and not sure whether she was able to show her full potential in front of 20000 people at Cropredy...think I was proved right imo |
