I’ve just booked for the gig in Richmond on 23rd August.  Still quite a few tickets left.  Richard is doing a few other concerts in August, in between the various summer festivals.  Not sure if the details have actually been posted here yet.  Anyway, the full list can be found here:

*Sigh* It's been more than 5 years since he performed in Austin and it doesn't look as though we'll see him in 2018, either.

He came as close as San Antonio last year (100 miles give or take), but he was opening for red-hot Jason Isbell and tickets sold out in no time flat.

I never thought that Richard would be an opening act for someone else these days!

And very good it was too! Totally impressed esp by RT's magnificent drummer Michael Jerome

Saw him at Stoke at the weekend (half empty venue, sadly). An excellent show, as we've come to expect. Although I think there is a massive Pete Zorn shaped hole in RT's live shows (and recordings, come to that.)

Highlights included an epic Can't Win, a different approach to MOTL, a nice surprise in Dry My Tears and Move On, and a forceful Put it There Pal. Could have lived without Guitar Heroes, though. Interesting to hear Tale in a Hard Time, but it's pretty obvious why FC apparently never played it live.

Michael Jerome - what a drummer. I think it's instructive that RT stood to one side - he was effectively centre stage.  Great night, anyway.

Oh, and the support was good as well - kind of a gentler Gillian Welch. Very nice.

Met RT and Michael Jerome  outside Hull City Hall , have to echo comments about Michael , stunning player
I'd say everybody was on top form , the crew got a good sound in a  tricky venue and provided good lighting  , the musicians held nothing back and the crowd were fully appreciative , the support act well worth catching
Great gig RT , here's to many more

I thought the sound at Hull City Hall was poor at the start (I was in the balcony) but improved as the concert got going. Great gig nonetheless.

Looking forward to our trip to sunny Southend for RT’s concert this weekend.  I hope it will be warm enough for a Rossi’s ice cream on the esplanade.  Unless it is about 6 degrees below zero, it will be…

Just been to The Sage, Gateshead. A great mix of new and old songs, acoustic and electric. The band truly seemed to be having fun and enjoying the gig. Including the guitar tech guy joining them for some songs.

RT is a genius, he can do no wrong in my eyes. For me, the acoustics with him and his guitar alone are the highlights. But I love the band stuff and big electric numbers, too, he is still rocking and his voice is in amazing nick.

We agreed, the drummer is amazing.
