Although tickets are not on sale yet, the Ticket Factory site are saying that confirmed acts so far are Waterboys, Daphne’s Flight and Richard Thompson.

If its the Waterboy's I'm happy,really enjoyed them last time.Very rock/folk.
But lets have a clause in every acts contract to stop them playing sitting down accompanied(led) by a string Quartet.
Probably no chance of that with them though. I still have nightmares over last years Friday finale. We have the rolling stones up on stage except when you look closely they morph into James Last and his orchestra.

I’ll be delighted if this is correct...however, can we be sure, until the official Fairport site announces acts?

It does seem a little strange that the ticket agency would confirm acts before they have been announced by the festival, but having said that, Daphne’s Flight doesn’t sound like an act which has been picked at random.

Got to be right.

Daphne's Flight were saying they had got the booking on their last tour (to me, anyway) - and I've heard independently that RT has been booked (solo, acoustic) - as he has trhe week before at Cambridge and the week after at Folk East. The Waterboys are new to me though. But at last, a realisation that sales go down if it becomes 'just another music festival'

Are we doing a quick sweepstake? I’ll go for The Waterboys, Daphne’s Flight and Richard Thompson. Oh, and Fairport...Now, what does everyone else think?

Please please Daphnes Flight! No chance of them sitting quietly! And that would leave my dream guest spots... Chris C with RT and Chris W doing the Sandy slot.
