Ralph IS playing New Forest Festival early July, so he must have his singing chops on for the year.

Cropredy 2018

I would love to see Russ Ballard return to Cropredy as a Fairport guest on the Saturday night after his turn with Trevor Horn in 2017 - the lads ripping into Since You've Been Gone would be brilliant.

Would it be too much to hope for Christine Collister & John Kirkpatrick or Alan Dunn?  Roll Eyes

CC was excellent when she popped in on RTs set at Towersey last year.  John K or Alan Dunn would be the icing on the cake.

So got my tickets, got my signed Christmas card and know some of the acts but does anyone have any idea when we’ll be getting news of the full line-up? Don’t think I can stand 2 or 3 months of endless (and largely pointless) speculation like we went through last year  Undecided

The tour programme seems to pre announce some of tomorrow's announcement.

Thursday     4 announced  (inc Fairport)
Friday          7
Saturday      7

So I reckon that only leaves one on each day ?

I reckon that’s right - same numbers as last year then. Still be interesting to see who the final 3 acts to be announced are don’t you think?  We could even get a surprise that no-one is expecting or maybe not Roll Eyes

That said only 15 have been announced on the website including Fairport so we could see another 5 acts announced rather than just 3

So another 5 acts added as predicted  Smiley Happy to see Wilson & Wakeman, Gogol Bordello and especially Frank Turner!

Is there no Radio 2 Folk Awards this year as the YFA winner is usually included as well ?

Frank Turner after RT and pals is certainly a better move than the last time, with Joan Armatrading almost clearing the field in minutes.

I predict that Gogol Bordello will conquer the field in moments.

Frank Turner is great - I would imagine he'd go down a storm although he is very sweary!
