The sixth of September?
If I'm still alive by then, I'll consider it.
That's a ridiculous wait.
It is a bit. Perhaps he needs the money to produce them. Probably it's to tie in with some live dates or something. I preordered, though more out of habit than excitement.

I've just been reading an interview with Mel Collins, who is working with Jakko Jacszyk on a re-release of A Scarcity of Miracles with outtakes etc, AND new material involving those two, Tony Levin, Gavin Harrison, (possibly) Pat Mastelotto and Robert Fripp. Mel refers to this being King Crimson material and says KC is "not dead yet". Interesting...

Hmmm. Well, ASoM is the only new material (most of) the last lineup put out (13 years ago!) so it's KC in all but name. I can't see Fripp stepping back into the beast fully though...can you?

Mel doesn't mention live shows, just recordings - he avers that there will be 2 separate releases - the revised/expanded ASoC and the new (KC) material.
RF seems to be enjoying treading the boards with Toyah again this year, but another KC touring/live iteration? As TLev, P@ and Mel will be busy with Stick Men, Tu-Ner and Dire Straits Legacy gigs respectively this year and next, I agree - I think not.
I guess Robert and Toyah are involved with the remastered/remixed Sunday All Over The World album due this year, and he with any remaining live releases from the 2014-21 era.

He was quoted last year as saying he made more money from touring with Toyah, together with their YouTube channel than with KC. So no, can't see that. (Wouldn't have thought he needs the money, but his back seems pretty shite so his future touring days are limited, it would seem)

He's been playing sitting down virtually all his career...

It turns out that if you pre-ordered Gilmour's new album, you had a chance to register for priority access to tickets for his shows at the Albert Hall. Prices ? £84.50 to £277 also hospitality packages starting at £515 for individual seats in the Stalls and the Arena, and box hospitality priced between £2750 and £7140. Someone has posted on the replacement for the now ceased Yeeshkul site, a ticket for the Empire Pool shows for the Animals tour in 1977. £4.25, which, they say, is '(drum roll...) £28.29. (actually, it's a bit less because I had to put in £5).' David has apparently announced he will play no 1970's Floyd material. So, maybe some Sixties and post Rog stuff, and maybe some material from his first two solo albums, which would have been fine by me, but somehow I don't think I'll be going this time. Touts allegedly selling tix for £2,300... (Not even if it includes a full body massage and extras from Polly Samson.)

And to add to that, the one track already released from the album is Gilmour by numbers - ponderous, lazy and dull. Rock and roll has eaten itself. Just say no peeps.

I just noticed my badly executed cut and pate job - caused by posting and cooking at the same time.
In case anybody can't figure it out, the 1977 show ticket cost £4.25. This is £28.29 in today's money - based on a fiver, because the programme couldn't deal with £4.25.
And yes, David's new song - Pay The Piper or whatever it is - is not very lively.

£24.04 according to the Bank of England inflation calculator, but then it could be argued they do have an active interest in minimising inflation calculations...

Dread to think what the price of a reissue would be , but probably it will be less than the £900+ I see occasionally on ebay for originals
