Now it's about a month until Fairport's Cropredy Convention.
So the new board area is here.

Cropredy 2018

Any sense of what ticket sales have been thus far? I know quite a few folks who have decided it is a lot of dosh for the line up this year. Anyone anticipating a sell out again?

Interesting question. Without any real information I guess it is a little too "folk" or "folk rock" for the general market? I am looking forward to it for those same reasons; good mixed bill and not totally full up. Economically bad but good for attendees?

So now it’s been announced that Joe Brown will be joining FC on stage at Cropredy can we expect a Fairport version of “I’m Henery the Eighth I am” ?  Grin

Does anyone know yet about the timings of mainstage/fringe? I was wondering who Krankschaft will clash with on the Friday afternoon.

According to my clashfinder, Krankschaft could possibly clash with Wildwood Kin and Caravan on the main stage and The Uninvited and Spank The Monkey down at The Red Lion.

Thanks. Wildwood Kin and I'd probably stay in the field, a clash only with Caravan and I'd probably go down the pub.
I'll have a look at Clashfinder, I didn't think there would be one.

In the Fairport email newsletter:
"Joining the Cropredy line-up...

We are delighted to announce that rock'n'roll legend (and Cropredy resident) Joe Brown will be joining Fairport and other guests during our closing set on Saturday evening.

Joe is highly regarded as a "musician's musician". He is a virtuoso on guitar, mandolin, ukulele and banjo and has played with Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran and Johnny Cash among many others. We can hardly wait!"

Are you signed up to it?

For some reason no - I'll look into it.

I hope it won't mean Ukulele Central is rolled out again!!

Anyone using my Clashfinder, please note I have only penciled in the main field timings based on last year. This year the timings have not yet been announced. (or if anyone knows, please let me know)

As soon as I have them, I will update the Clashfinder.

I'm not sure if I should link here, so google Clashfinder and enter in the search box "Fairport's Cropredy Convention 2019"

Enjoy.

Interesting, thanks for that. Looks as though possibly Krankschaft will overlap with both Wildwood K and Caravan, so I will probably stay in the arena.
Timings might change though, hopefully.

It seems to be that many narrowboats are in place already for the festival. Could hardly find a mooring last night. Not helped by several working boats, and a film crew filming Father Brown.

Gave up trying to get through the lock, and winded just above it.
