Caravan tonight at Bury Met. Tour reports on their facebook page are positive, their new CD is a pleasant listen and it looks like a near sell out. Looking forward to my first live music since Fairport at RNCM last year.

Having gone to see Erland Cooper in Manchester on Thursday, I'm going to the Robin to see Caravan tomorrow.  Looking forward to it.

Scottish pop duo Hue & Cry in Acapela on Saturday. Will be Mr Box's first gig since February 2020. He's a massive fan so we're going for him, really.

Will remember to take a cushion to sit on as the pews are a bit hard on the bum, even if you already have plenty of padding....  Grin  Wink

Someone was talking about Galley Beggar not too long ago.  From FB:

GIG NEWS: After our rather long hiatus, we will be returning to What's Cookin' at Leytonstone Social Club on 12th February! Tickets will be on sale in December.

Next gig - The X-Pensive Winos feat. special guests Mick Jagger and Ron Wood, at the Circuit of the Americas race track, November 20!

Does anyone think they will do something for the 60th anniversary next year, or is this the end, beautiful friend?

Winos + Mick and Ron is the Stones now.
Personally I hope they carry on, the YouTube’s of the latest shows are great, but it’s up to the 3 elderly gentlemen at the front and whatever fate befalls them in the future.  I don’t think they will want to knock it on the head after touring successfully with Steve Jordan but it’s not my decision to make

As someone noted the other day, the Stones are now missing a drummer and bass player. The Beatles only have a drummer and bass player. How about it, guys?  Grin Grin Grin

A reasonable period after the Ox passed on, some music magazine suggested the formation of "The Who-tles" with Sir Paul, Ringo, Rog and Pete. I can't imagine a less compatible combo. Smiley

I say this with some trepidation  Undecided

Tomorrow I'm going to see Rick Astley  Shocked

There's a crowd of us going so hopefully it'll be a good laugh. It'll be my 3rd gig in the last few weeks but there'll be over 4000 people there hence the trepidation.

Wish me luck!  Cheesy

Just spend the whole gig shouting out the names of Smiths songs.  That's what i'd do anyway...

If I were there next summer, I might consider stopping by.

£75 + booking fees for the poor people apparently (God alone knows what the bigwigs pay)?  In the scheme of things it's not as bad as it could be but really, I'd rather stick hot pins in my eyes.  I went to that Who/Dylan/EC/Alanis gig in '96.  That cost £8 (£15.36 at 2020 prices).

He played here in Lancaster at the Highpoint festival back in May and friends who went were pleasantly surprised by his set which included himself on the drums singing an AC/DC song. Have fun!  Smiley

I'm holding out for the Human League "Dare 40" tour to come to the states next year. I have no doubt they could fill 1,500-2,000 seat theaters, especially if they are paired with a similarly popular artist from the same era. Pretty please, Phil?
