Is there a 'theme' to it (playing any particular album or era or whatever)?

It’s called This is not a Drill. I don’t know the set list but I suspect it was originally thematically tied to the 2020 presidential election, before the COVID cancellation. I imagine more current events will be incorporated into the concept.

Apparently the theme is "last day on Earth" and the tour itself is entitled "This is not a drill".

Cheerful as ever.

Saw the prices for Anfield and decided not to bother.

Dexys tour in September cancelled due to Kevin's motorcycle accident!
Can we gather from that he's into late 60's Zim now?I

I can put my returned £90 towards the Horslips box, cheers Kev.

How much are the Anfield tickets?

Sad news about the Dexys tour.  Is he alright?

The tickets started at £230 and went up steeply.😱😱😱

As to Kevin, how would anyone know?  I didn't know about the motorbike accident until I got the email, and other health issues( unspecified) were mentioned.

Not sure where you were looking Jim, but there are tickets on sale now at less than £100 all in.

All the tickets I've seen for Anfield were over £230 but Hyde Park is £97.00
Maybe this is what they call "levelling up"?  Grin

I've just been on the Liverpool FC website and had a ticket for £90.45 in my basket.  It's too rich for my tastes but I don't know where this £230 is coming from.

Ticketmaster. Actually, if you put “Rolling Stones Tour 2022” you get big prices. If you put “Rolling Stones Anfield” they cheaper.
Anyway. I’m not going so it’s an elephant!

Focus...The Fleece, Bristol, Wednesday...Have booked a B&B because the chances of me running fast enough for the last train at 10.00pm are a bit slim & I really don't need the anxiety!! Grin...Love this current lineup of Thijs van Leer, Pierre van der Linden, Menno Gootjes & Uno Pannekeet...As current, melodic & exciting as ever, & still releasing great music after all these years!

I would if

a) I could afford it
b) I lived within 100 miles of a venue they were playing at

Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets are well worth seeing but I'm not flying to Texas to do that.

Ditto your point a), Andy, and I'd add c) if Brian Eno would be part of it.

Not quite sure where you've been for the last 48 years then, Paul  Wink Smiley

And anyway, much as I adore the two Eno albums, the honest truth that people like you seem to manage to so successfully suppress is that the very best Roxy album is the first without him and that he also made his best music after he left.  Unpalatable perhaps, but true...  Grin

I saw Roxy in the late 90s and they were utterly superb.  Or at least the 80% of the gig that wasn't the lounge lizard material was....

We'll have to agree to disagree on the best Roxy album, Dave.

Btw, I agree with you that Eno has made, and continues to make a fine body of work, since leaving Roxy.

I fear the upcoming dates will be largely lounge lizard material, possibly as a result of the effects of time. But a little randomness sprinkled here and there would be welcome, at least to me...

This was exactly what was expected in '99, and what the champagne lounge glitterati at Earl's Court were paying to see for sure.  But what the audience got was far from that - the vast majority of the material came from the first four albums, and at times they made a genuinely jaw dropping noise.  There was an almost audible sigh of relief when we got to (zzzzzzz) Jealous Guy.

I only saw Roxy the once, in the very early days supporting Quintessence. They were OK, apart from O'List, but we couldn't work out where the bvs were coming from. Of course it was Eno from the desk.
