Christian 70's style metallers Wytch Hazel in Morecambe tonight.  Free gig too!

Excellent band. Hoping to catch them live at some point too. How was the show?

Really good.  A little heavier live than on album, but who isn't??  Love the whole image with them, and really friendly guys as well.  The first time I'd seen them headline, so good to get a full set drawn from all three albums.

Sounds excellent. Glad you had a good time! Hopefully, they'll play in my neck of the woods soon.

Interesting. I don't think I'd ever heard of them, and thought I knew a bit about the Christian music scene from the 70s and 80s. Must investigate. Ant advice on where to start?  Are any of their albums available on Spotify or similar?

Edit: Ah. A quick google shows that I misunderstood the original post - "70s style", not that they were from the 70s.  Still, hadn't come across them, but see they have albums on Bandcamp, so will have a listen.

Rod the Mod is coming to the U.K. this summer.

Mrs. J From A saw him with The Faces at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas, on August 19, 1972. This was on the "Nod's as Good as a Wink" tour, the last U.S. dates with Ronnie Lane. They opened for Three Dog Night, which was one of the biggest bands in the land.

I didn't finally cross Rod off my bucket list until we saw him in Las Vegas on March 29, 2016, during his long residency at the Colosseum at Caesar's Palace. I remember thinking at the time that Rod was winding down, and that he would not resume large scale touring in the future. I didn't imagine he would mount a world tour seven years later.

I'll be honest and say I've never heard of either of them.  Bob Harris is a fan if that helps.

Seen/heard Brookes Williams a few times in the company of P J Wright. Great guitarists both!

We've got ours, but still plenty of tickets left for Trad Arrr at Wavendon Stables on Saturday. I'm also going to give a plug to the mighty Gryphon - half a dozen dates in their 50th anniversary tour in May / June.

Friday - Alistair Ian Stewart at 3Ten Live in Austin (tix in hand).

Sunday - Stick Men (feat. Tony Levin and Pat Mastelotto of King Crimson Mk 250) at the Parish in Austin (maybe).

Seeing them at Acapela Studios on Thursday - first gig of the year!

KT Tunstall a week tonight in Cardiff.
We saw her supporting, ahem, Rick Astley in 2021, but don’t hold that against her! She’s excellent  Smiley

Oh, I've always fancied seeing her. This must have passed me by. I'm going to check if it's sold out

I am considering the Wishbone Ash concert there - my lad lives in Farnborough and is a fan of Argus and fancied seeing them - good selection of stuff on there - he saw Tankus the Henge and I think Blackbeards Tea Party  there recently

KT Tunstall a week tonight in Cardiff.

A close friend of ours used to be her babysitter! She is very good live, and was particularly impressed that there is a town called Tunstall close by. More totally useless info coming shortly.

I've seen her 2ce and after careful consideration decided to pass this time.  She's a very good live act but I wouldn't expect anything startlingly different this time.

We've not seen her live before, so innovation is not what we seek.
