I'd looked at the Cropredy Capers box, and the 1998 connection hadn't occurred to me.  I've got that CD too!

Veering back on topic, Andy Summers, tomorrow at the State Theater in Austin!

I am looking forward to an intimate show with a true guitar legend.

Maybe Cyndi Lauper Thursday night at the Moody Center.

She says this is her "farewell tour," and I take her at her word. The internet tells me she played more intimate venues around town over the last twenty years, but somehow I never managed to find the time. (When I was in college in the '80s she played the massive Frank Erwin Center three times, but I had absolutely no interest back then.) Now or never, I say.

Bellowhead on Tuesday in Plymouth.  I held off for ages because of cost, but gave in in the end, and ended up with a seat in the third row (presumably a return or something).  Looking forward to it!

I was just about to laughingly query how many original members they had and then saw that all nine members participated in the band during the 'golden years'.  Well, well, well... I seem to remember somebody else on here who used to go on about Darts a lot...but maybe that was you?

Nice.  Would love to get to the latter two in particular.  Sadly, I think Marshall has stopped travelling now, hasn't he?

Lord, he'll be pushing 101!  I don't see him on the touring promos these days, but since its Big Ears and Ira, we might get a surprise!  Grin

Just booked - Austin City Limits Celebrates 50 Years, tomorrow at ACL Live! This sold out a long time ago, but two tickets just popped up and we grabbed them. This is being filmed for broadcast, presumably in 2025.

Here's are the announced performers:  Leon Bridges, Gary Clark Jr. joined by Eve Monsees, Billy Strings featuring Sierra Hull and Zach Top, Indigo Girls, Lyle Lovett, Shawn Colvin, Brandy Clark, Rufus Wainwright, The Mavericks, Ángela Aguilar, Cam and Lloyd Maines & the ACL All-Stars, and appearances by Trio Los Panchos and the Tosca String Quartet.

The host is hometown boy Jared Padalecki of Supernatural (I still think it's crazy that the stars of Supernatural were both born and raised in Texas). This will be fun!

The mighty Teenage Fanclub.  In Chester.  Next August.  And yes, they'd be great for Cropredy.
