Nope. The only thing I am interested in is coming in the second tranche in June, Its Hard - The Who. But I'm not going to travel 15 miles to my nearest participating record store, queue up at 7am and fight off 30 other people for the single copy in the shop.

Sorry for my somewhat flippant reply above... I've nowt against vinyl, just don't feel the need to go back to records I bought first time round. The only RSD 22 release I'd be mildly interested in would be the Miles Davis LP in the 2nd wave... but there's another boxed (CD) set due later this year which will contain the LP tracks - and much more!

Same. Will get the Lou Reed demos when they come out on CD. Saw that there were two Sandy Denny LPs. Anything previously unreleased on these? Jules

Jules The early demos will definitely be unreleased stuff, apart from possibly some if the Rupert Street material. The Royalty Concert only came out CD, back in 1996. The LP, as far as I can see- its still in the bag- is a shorter version and without the tarting up that was done for the CD

Fair enough. The thread is really for people who are interested in vinyl and RSD, but you're entitled to express a view. I've never stopped buying records for 50 years. I've got lots of cds too, but I love the srtworj, the sound, the joy of records. I was at my chosen indie store, luckily only a few minutes away, at 6.30 to choose my purchases. There was free tea and food for those who wanted it. A young lady at the front of the queue had been there since 4.30. Respect. We all had a good day.

Thanks, Alan. Jules Actually, I can't be totally sure about this. I don't know all of the contents of the big box.

Everything on the Early Home Recordings 2LP was on the big box, so nothing previously unreleased but the first time it's been on vinyl. Gold Dust has been re-worked by Andy Batt, who did such good work on the Sandy, Fairport and Richard and Linda boxes. It restores Sandy's spoken intros, places the audience applause with the relevant songs, which wasn't the case originally, and selects only the best performances in an attempt to present the live album as it might have been released at the time. I think Andy is still on TAW, hopefully he can expand on that.

Sounds good! I presume it'll get a CD release at some point. Jules

My only purchase was Nick Cave’s “Live Seeds” album. Failed to procure the one I was really wanting ( Pearls Before Swine “The Exultation of Tom Rapp”). Hoping I can still track one down somehow.
