Cropredy accommodation

Hi - friends are coming to Cropredy this year. They’re camping but want somewhere preferably a hotel to stay the Wednesday night.
Could anyone recommend anywhere please?

Hi Bridget
The Wroxton Hotel is nice, though around £120 a night for room only - but it's on the right side of Banbury for Cropredy. To be honest that's one of the less expensive hotels. A complicating factor at the moment is that Banbury's two largest hotels are being used to accommodate asylum seekers - at present there's no knowing how long that might continue.

We picked up an Air B&B for the Wednesday night last year at a reasonable cost and location

The Travel Lodge at Towcester is 30 minutes drive from the festival and an easy drive.
We have used this since 2007. It is a travel lodge, and not one of the newest, so you know what you are getting, but they are cheaper than most hotels.
There is also a Premier Inn not far from there.

There are a few bed and breakfast places too, but prices vary a lot. The Stag's Head at Swalcliffe is reasonable - it's a quiet village pub - whereas friends of mine stayed at the 'Ashlea' in Banbury itself, which they said was perfectly good

Thanks all - I’ll pass this on and see what they want to do.

One year I booked the Premier inn at Silverstone - which is about 16 miles away from Banbury a fairly easy drive.

Ok, so just to get back to accommodation suggestions: there are hotels and Air B'n'B available. Air B'n'B is cheaper than hotels.

Well said Andy.
I’m going to suggest they stay at the hotel at Warwick Services, & we’ll meet them there so we can travel together to the festival on the Thursday morning.

I think the Brasenose is going to start doing B&B. It will probably go quickly though.
