Well, the list's out.
So far only the 2 Bert Jansch reissues have caught my attention.

Had I a turntable the Madness, Pogues, Son Volt and Sir Douglas Quintet discs would be regarded as worth coveting

Goblin, Gong, Tangerine Dream, Edgar Froese, Porcupine Tree and maybe some Ennio Morricone. Perhaps the Sisters of Mercy. Quite a lot. I usually wait and order online from Resident after the day, or leave it a few weeks until Head in Leamington is selling stuff cheaply.

There's almost nothing in the list that won't be discounted online at a later date. I've got RSD records that cost £22 on the day, were £35 when they went online and which 4 or 5 years on can now be bought sealed for £18. There are exceptions to this but they're a tiny minority.

Yes, it happens- stuff just doesn't sell, or it gets a general release sometime later, sometimes not a lot later. The Bert Jansch albums I think will be available in the future, black vinyl where the RSD editions will probably be coloured.

From the volume of easily available items remaining online I am guessing this was not especially successful this year in terms of footfall. Maybe the labels gouging vinyl prices is having an effect.
I managed to get the two items that I wanted easily yesterday evening at face value from independent shops, both my major artists and at least one of them an allegedly limited pressing of 5000 worldwide.k

The GONG, Porcupine Tree and Tangerine Dream are getting quite scarce.
I imagine piles of ELP, GTR will be available cheaply in a few months.

I was talking to a record shop owner about the prices, and he said that most of them were not that much more than last year, but some of releases were from US or European labels and this bumped up prices - for instance, the Tangerine Dream wasn't a UK release, and the Goblin was Italian, and I think the Gong live album was a French release. I was happier with my 10 pounds near mint copy of Pentangle's Reflection that I found in his second hand section!
