Just in case anyone hasn't heard yet ,. Bridge Meadow campsite has closed for the festival week due to flooding.

Camping on Field 7's from Thursday is still available and can be purchased on the fields entrance.

As far as I know there is no problem with field 7 so you could camp on there from Thursday.
It a shame if you miss out but there are other options if you look about.
Hope you can make next year if you miss out this time.

I wandered by bridge meadow yesterday evening and it was damp but had a couple of vans on it.
It talks of heavy rain and lots of it Saturday but looking at the forecast for the Monday onwards and the temperatures I’d be surprised if it wasn’t perfectly usable by Thursday.

I have calmed down (but not de-stressed) and ordered a camping sticker but will still look for alternatives. We have booked a CL 10 miles away Wednesday night but as we have a large motorcaravan I dont see how we can make Trad Aaar.

I remember some years ago when one of the fields flooded. The Council/H&S/Nanny State laid down how many days after it dried out had to elapse before it could be camped upon. Something to do with bacteria, which clearly only exist after flooding!!!!!

Given the amount of literal s**t that gets pumped into rivers at times of high rainfall, I'd want to give it few days too.

A handful of vans have got on today and parked in the nearest field along the riverside
Whether or should I say weather that will look a bright idea this time tomorrow remains to be seen….

I was under the impression it was shut but obviously not….

We had a booking for Bridge Meadows, hoping to see Tradarrr and more of the fringe, but looks like they're still closed from the website and doesn't seem like they will change their minds.

So now we're looking for camping and up to three tickets for Cropredy itself unless there are local alternatives.

Is there any truth in the rumours that Bridge Meadow is the same person as Bridgwit, operating under a pseudonym?

No Bridgwit communicates far better!

You can turn up and buy a camping ticket on Thursday.
I’d check the fairport page because there are usually tickets that you can buy on Thursday.
From memory I’d take cash to buy them as I remember someone trying one year by card and the card reader couldn’t get reception.

Having just looked over the gate at bridge meadow , there were eight separate set ups in the front field but it was waterlogged in places and must be very soft indeed.
It’d be fun getting off it in a caravan.

I still have a spare 3 day camping ticket. It cost £55 but I'm open to sensible offers, give me a ring on 07802 437422
