Why all the apologies for swearing?
I can't say I've heard any
It's getting on my nerves
Dull as anything so far

Peggy said "shite" in his introduction to Polly On The Shore.  Shocked

The denizens of Oxfordshire are heading towards Radio Oxford right now armed with pitchforks and torches, such was their shock and horror.  Grin

Why has nobody burnt Chris Leslie's bloody banjo yet?
Severely disappointed by the absence of an electric guitar player tonight

Yes, after a few years of playing the solid body quite a bit on stage, Simon seems to have become reluctant to play electric again. It sounded as though he barely picked it up this evening. Possibly on Sir William Gower but that's about it.

There were a couple of highlights but it was a largely uninspired set for me.

Special surprise guest revealed as..................Jasper Carrot!😞

Lordy.  Max Boyce next year, perhaps?

Underwhelming after all the hype but Carrot does have previous for at Cropredy, albeit about 40 years ago.

He was the special guest in 2013.

Oh was he? That was my first year off after 22 years (excepting 2002 which i missed because of a wedding. It still rankles).

Billy Connolly was on the bill in the early days wasn't he ?
Carrott did start with Oggie Oggie Oggie so perhaps he was channeling Max.
Sadly, those were the only Oggies on the field, I had to have mac'n cheese with shrooms instead.

The Oggie stall was there, though...

I had two....

Dammitt.

I was only there for a day...well, half....well, three quarters. I didn't have me glasses on.

I'm gonna have three next year.

All three days.

Breakfast, dinner and tea.

That makes.....three times three times three times.....something.... carry one.....which makes elleventy six.

Then I'll be sick of 'em and won't care anymore.

I didn't walk in that way, I came in from the opposite side from the parking field.
I was only there from Saturday lunchtime so I only walked down that side of the field once.
And I think my eyesight is deteriorating to such an extent I need to wear glasses permanently instead of just reading.

aside from the saturday night full FC set coverage available on BBC Sounds...  are the various "live lounge" sets available ?  if so i guess they "inside" normal Radio Oxon scheduling so - again - anyone know which ones and program timings etc ?

I don''t know if anyone played a set. There were individual songs scattered through the broadcast from Big Big Train, Plumhall, Black Water County and Elles Bailey as far as I recall.

Actually, hearing Elles Bailey singing ‘Leave the Light on’ at 1:22 in this without the distraction of the either nervous, or excitable behaviour, whatever it was…I can really appreciate the music and her voice.
