We normally camp in field 4 - i think weve done field 5 once as well.

Both fields have (as far as i know!) loos and the cold water large sinks, no showers.

But Ive picked up in other threads and forums that there are free hot showers in fields 7b and 1, at least.

Any other fields include showers?  Do 4 & 5 lack them because of the proximity of the football/cricket club?

merely curious!

I think those are the only two fields with showers. I don't know the reasoning behind it - financial, maybe?  I was wondering while showering on Field 1 on Sat morning (having trekked from the bottom of field 5) how they manage the water supply - both incoming and dealing with the used water - in those portable shower blocks.

There were a couple of Guide Dogs people outside those showers, sweeping out the water after each person (to keep them cleaner and a bit more pleasant), and collecting at the same time.  I was happy to pop something in the box for that service.

I didn't go through Field 2 this year, but there have been showers there previously.

They have a cordon going into the camping area (proper order imo). The overall music/drink/food area is open to anyone with a Convention or F8 wristband, and that includes the toilet area, so I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be a problem. Theyre quite nice, wetroom style, and of course queue times vary through the day as they do anywhere .

Sorry, I meant Field 2, not 1.
