In the midst of chat re festivals surviving , outdoor stages etc……one of my fave bands , 3 Daft Monkeys , posted this yesterday…..

And this one….

I was trying to remember which was the really wet Cropredy year!
We were watching RT down the front, turned round and the field had emptied!

Thoughts from the Hive mind?

Hi, Yes a mate I play in a band with is running the busking stage. It has been moist.
Mind you I was on a beach in Cornwall last few days and there has been considerable moistness and thundery flashy  stuff!

1999 I think. I took some friends for the first time, all with young children. Some of them never returned after spending hours shivering in their tents sheltering from the rain whilst I watched a blistering RT set on my own.

That’ll be it. It was a memorable set…..

Worst weather has been mid to late evening and early Saturday morning. Fortunately a lot of the undercard has been excellent. Blair, Alex Hart, Gary Stewart, Isambards Wheel,Nati, I was thinking why isn't Nati huge and then found she has 2 million followers! Weather is glorious now, looking forward to Martin Stephenson, Virginia and Blackbeard's Tea Party.

Magnificent festival. Fantastic line up. Great performances from most and what a finish from the sparkling Blackbeard's Tea Party.

The organisation of this superbly set event in the walled garden of a very rural minor stately home is second to none.

More of you should come , it will reinvigorate your love of festivals.

My friend Bob,( Whale) who has run the busking stage , has just eulogised on how good this fest was. He has put some great pics up on f book.
It is firmly in my diary for next yr.

I agree, it's my 5th Beardy this year and I love it ... despite the biblical weather!
