Well, the list is live.

Not a lot of interest to me.   Earth Records  are doing a 2LP  of Trees outtakes, though if you bought the  boxed set  just a few years ago  you will already have these
, or most of them.
Also from Earth  an unreleased Michael Chapman live recording.

Do we actually know if there is anything that isn't on the box included?

I need to read the description again and look at my own copy of the boxed set.  Ive also asked the question on Earth Records facebook page.

There are 18 tracks on the Fore and After 2LP included in the boxed set.  Can't find a tracklist for the RSD release but my guess is it's  a straight standalone re-release .

Edit- It's due as a general release in December  Still only 18 tracks.

I am interested in the 'replaced' soundtrack to City of the Living Dead/Seven Doors of Death. Apparently it's an all electronic affair.

Also the Tull, Black Sabbath, Goblin, National Health, and Nektar.

I'll look at Katherine Priddy's live 1.5 LP , 3 sides and an etching rather like RT's latest 2 disc affair, but as David says they are often offered a lot cheaper a few months later, unless you are after Taylor Swift

It will. Goblin albums are usually Italian imports. I may have to sell the kids to get it all.

Well, i got my  Belly and Throwing Muses  releases.

A queue like never before.  Down there @ 6.30 and felt mighty cold by  opening time.  Worth it to  get what i wanted.

Anyone else?

Deafening silence.

Did nobody get anything?

Shop people have been telling me this has been one of the busiest/ most successful RSDs so far.

I genuinely didn't realise that Record Store Day was so important to some people until I was in Nottingham on April 12th - literally hundreds of people queueing outside the Rough Trade shop at 10.30 in the morning, and security on the door!

I don't do the whole hysterical queuing from 5am thing, not least of all because there are no participating stores in my home town but I did pick up three releases in the official online sale on the Monday evening.

Hindu Love Gods
Sessions At West 54th - Neil Finn (which is fabulous in every respect, pressing, mastering and music).
(Not) Indoor Safari - Nick Lowe (which is frustratingly warped but plays ok. A nice, if inessential live album)

Good news to hear that Record Store Day was a big success... Smiley

My problem is that I bought so many records (and still have them!) back in the late 70s and all through the 80s, that there was a distinct possibility of them taking over the house...I do still enjoy playing them, but unlikely to be buying any more... Smiley

I know shop owners (ok, two in my own personal survey) who feel compelled to do it but a) it's an enormous hassle and huge amount of work, b) the margins are small, and c) they often get left with overpriced crud that they can't sell.  Like the entire 'vinyl boom' I think it's a monster that's eaten itself...

There may be a down side to it, but my 'survey' involving 3 shops, shows a positive picture. Perhaps it deoends where you live, and i'm in a 'vinyl  positive' area. The main thing is it gets people into record shops, which is where you went in bygone days to buy and find out about music  . Immediately in front of me in the queue was a 15 year old youth who bought 3 records. I also see folks in my she group - 60s snd all points in between .

I can't help wondering how?  £75-100?  Gulp.  Then again, I used to pay the best part of £35 (taking inflation into account) for a double cassette in the early 90s so what do I know...

Which translates to about £25 an album,  in today's money.
