Cropredy 2018

« on: February 17, 2025, 08:44:26 AM »

Tbhis has cropped up on my fb page recently - looks like a decent band based around Clive Gregson:

Paul Burgess (10cc), Clive Gregson (Any Trouble, Gregson & Collister, Richard Thompson), Craig Fletcher and Jez Smith (Barclay James Harvest), Neil Cossar (The Cheaters)

Anyone seen them - thoughts etc?

Haven't seen them because they haven't really come near my neck of the woods yet but the album was an instant buy for me. It is very enjoyable, full of high quality new CG songs albeit with the vocals spread around various members of the band. Recommended.

The album's a lot of fun and I've got tickets to see them next weekend but life's got in the way a tad so I'm not sure whether I'll get there. Keeping my fingers crossed though.

I see they are playing just up the road from me in about a month.  Typically I will be on the other side of the country that weekend...

Top notch gig last night.  The whole album, a few of Clive's numbers and a closing four song run featuring each band they were known for.  A lot of fun and banter, some of which was clearly spontaneous, and excellent singing & playing.
